Projects
Originally constructed in 1925 as the home of the Asheville Gazette-News, this historic building was renovated into the new Black Mountain College Museum. The 6,000 SF project, approved for Historic Tax Credits by the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, focused on preserving key architectural elements, including original flooring and decorative tin ceilings. The reimagined space includes a flexible exhibition area, bookstore, offices, archive space, and a research library housing more than 1,500 texts. The completed facility now serves as a central hub for exploring and celebrating the legacy of Black Mountain College within its new home in downtown Asheville.
